This degree is designed to meet the demand for employees with electronics skills. You'll learn electrical and electronic theories and how to apply those theories in a laboratory setting.
Graduates may choose to enter the workforce in the electronics field as technicians or in a variety of testing and manufacturing careers, or continue their education at a four year-institution. Some graduates continue on to complete the Semiconductor Technology Certificate program.
The Associate in Applied Science in Electrical Engineering Technology-Electronics is accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET, www.abet.org, under the General Criteria and the Program Criteria for Electrical/Electronic(s) Engineering Technology and Similarly Named Programs.
